Brief

Back to 2014 in the boom of digital magazines, we created from scratch and with the help of investors an interactive magazine related to soccer and a gentlemen lifestyle. Into the media ecosystem, we created the website, iPad and Android magazine using Adobe Digital Publishing Suite and social media channels.

Process

I was involved in all the business model, communication and design process of the new company.

1. Naming: Was called Oliver Magazine because we wanted to give the brand a personal and human name that people related to elegance and soccer.

2. Branding: I created a brand that reflects the finest possible way to talk about soccer. That’s why I came back to the 20’s where the word ‘Dandy’ born as a man who places particular importance upon physical appearance, refined language, and leisurely hobbies, pursued with the appearance of nonchalance in a cult of self. So the graphic language is mainly characterized by a mix of retro- victorian style with a touch of modernism and elements from the digital era.

3. Website Design: I made the design and development of the WordPress site where we published all the content. Also all graphics of the articles and social media posts.

4. Magazine Design: The team (editor, programmer, copyrighter, writers and I) defined the sections and content inside the magazine and then I made the design of the Pilot Issue to start selling advertising before the launching.

5. Marketing: I was also present in the marketing strategy, doing all graphics and digital ads.
